Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free trial?
Better: your first 3 confirmed deals are free, with no credit card and no time limit. There is no clock to run out, so if your next closing is four months away, your free deals are still there waiting for it.
A free deal is used when you confirm a deal, not when you save a draft. Voiding a deal doesn't give it back, amending a deal you already confirmed doesn't use another one, and a deal split between co-agents counts as one.
Are the free deals a limited version?
No. They are the complete product: agent email notifications, PDF downloads and share links, cap tracking, QuickBooks-ready CSV export, co-agent deals, teams and amendments all work exactly as they do on a paid plan.
What happens after my 3 free deals?
Nothing is deleted and nothing is reset. Your agents, commission plans and confirmed deals stay exactly as they are, and you keep access to the account. To confirm a fourth deal you choose a path: buy a pack of pay-as-you-go credits, or start a flat plan. You can still build and preview that fourth deal before deciding.
How much does SplitRE cost?
There are two ways to pay. A flat monthly plan is priced by the number of active agents your brokerage has. Pay-as-you-go has no monthly fee at all: you buy a pack of deal credits and spend one credit each time you confirm a deal. Either way, every feature is included, with no functionality locked behind a higher tier, and you can switch between the two at any time from your billing settings. See Pricing for current rates.
What's the difference between plans?
Only the active agent limit. Commission plans, cap tracking, CSV import/export, deal sharing, and everything else described in these docs works the same way on every tier.
What counts toward my agent limit?
Only active agents. If an agent leaves and you mark them inactive, they no longer count toward your limit, and you can reactivate them at any time without losing their cap history.
How does the annual plan work?
Annual plans are billed once per year at a discounted rate, up to 17% less than paying monthly, depending on your tier. You can cancel before your renewal date and you won't be charged again.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade from Billing at any time. Upgrading mid-billing-cycle only charges you the prorated difference; downgrading takes effect at your next renewal rather than immediately.
Can I cancel anytime? Are there contracts?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime from Billing.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 calendar days of your most recent billing date (monthly or annual). Refunds are issued for the amount paid minus Stripe's payment-processing fees, and partial-period refunds aren't available outside that 7-day window. See our Refund / Cancellation Policy for the full terms and how to request one.
Does SplitRE integrate with QuickBooks?
SplitRE exports a QuickBooks-ready CSV file for any deals you select: closing date, property address, agent, share %, GCI, agent net, broker net, and pre-formatted memo lines for QuickBooks invoices and bills. A deal split between agents exports as one row per agent. Select your deals, click export, and hand the file to your bookkeeper. No re-keying, no live connection to maintain. It's not a live, direct sync between the two systems. See Sharing and Exporting Deals.
Do my agents need their own login?
No. Agents don't have a portal or dashboard. Once a deal is confirmed, you can email them their commission breakdown or download it as a PDF, both with a single click, right from the deal row. See Sharing and Exporting Deals.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), with row-level security isolating each brokerage's data from every other brokerage's. You can export all of your data at any time.
Can I migrate from spreadsheets or another system?
Yes. Both agents and historical deals can be bulk-imported via CSV, including a field for an agent's prior cap balance so their cap tracking stays accurate from day one. See Importing Agents and Deals via CSV.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is kept for 30 days after your account locks (the end of your final billing period), then permanently deleted. Turning off auto-renewal keeps your account fully active until your current billing period ends; after that, you can still export a copy or resubscribe at any point during those 30 days, with no need to rush an export before the period ends. Resubscribing restores everything exactly as you left it.
Can one login manage multiple brokerages or offices?
Not currently. Each account is scoped to a single brokerage. If you run a multi-office or franchise operation, reach out through the contact options on Pricing to discuss options.
How does the annual commission cap work?
Once a brokerage has collected a set dollar amount from an agent in a cap year, that agent keeps everything (or pays only a flat post-cap fee) on every deal for the rest of that year. The cap year runs January 1 to December 31 by default, or from each agent's own anniversary date if you set it up that way. See Setting Up Agent Caps and the Glossary for the exact mechanics.
Can two agents split one deal?
Yes. In the Close-a-Deal drawer, click + Add another agent and give each agent a GCI share % (up to six agents). It stays one deal with one GCI and one Deal #: whole-deal deductions come off the top once, then each agent's share runs through their own commission plan and their own cap. See Entering and Managing Deals.
Can two agents share one commission cap?
Yes, with a team. A team is one annual cap shared across several agents: any member's commissions draw the same pool, and everyone flips to a 100% split when the pool hits the team cap. A team can also have an optional lead who earns a set % of each member's commission on team deals. See Setting Up Agent Caps.
